The online program is designed to support a wide array of jazz learners interested in advancing their skills in key areas of jazz performance.

The program runs 8 weeks from March to May and students will participate in a series of leveled workshops and classes.


The core curriculum consists of weekly sessions in Jazz Language and Special Topics in Jazz Performance taught by renowned faculty.

Enrollment & Eligibility

Participation is open to students of all instruments and levels. There are no auditions, however, students can upload a short video of themselves playing for placement purposes only. Students can indicate preferred day & time from available options during registration.


Students participate in two 60-minute sessions per week; Jazz Language & Special Topics in Jazz Performance. Groups will be assembled by age, ability, and schedule availability. Sections are offered at the days & times listed here:

Tuesdays | 7:00-8:00pm

The goal of the online program is to provide a;

- deeper understanding of fundamental aspects of jazz.

- direct application of technique to concepts of improvisation.

- foundation of common repertoire to all jazz musicians.  

- better understanding of how jazz has developed and continues to evolve.
