Shareef Clayton is an internationally acclaimed trumpeter, bandleader, and educator known for his vibrant tone, soulful phrasing, and dynamic presence on stage. A Miami native now based in New York City, Shareef blends jazz tradition with modern expression, creating a sound that’s both timeless and forward-thinking.

A versatile performer, Shareef has appeared with iconic artists across genres, including Stevie Wonder, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Macy Gray, Lauryn Hill, Thomas Rhett, Chance the Rapper, Skrillex, and Melody Gardot. He was also a featured soloist on the Grammy-nominated albums Urban Folktales and Multiverse with the Bobby Sanabria Multiverse Big Band.

As a composer and solo artist, his album North & South showcases his signature blend of jazz, funk, and soul. He also shares his passion through teaching, offering trumpet lessons and masterclasses worldwide.
